One thing that consistently helps schizophrenics to recover is consistent support. Without it recovery is greatly reduced.

I often receive emails from readers and researchers that contain interesting and valid comments and questions.
Here is one of them recently received from a colleague named Leo:
Hello Jerry,
In a talk with Judy on United Public Radio I heard you and the others wonder how some children become "schizophrenic" at a very young age. I've often wondered myself how demons can take hold in a small child. One explanation is abuse, notably but not limited to SRA, Satanic Ritual Abuse. One case of such a child is described in a book by Torey Hayden:
One Child: The True Story of a Tormented Six-Year-Old and the Brilliant Teacher Who Reached Out Paperback – June 28, 2016
by Torey Hayden (Author)

Book Overview:
"It has been a long time since you have read a book with the sheer emotional impact of One Child." --New York Times
The true story of a tormented six-year-old and the brilliant teacher who reached out.
Six-year-old Sheila never spoke, she never cried, and her eyes were filled with hate. Abandoned on a highway by her mother, unwanted by her alcoholic father, Sheila was placed in a class for emotionally disturbed children after she committed an atrocious act of violence against another child.
Everyone said Sheila was lost forever, everyone except her teacher, Torey Hayden.
Torey fought to reach Sheila, to bring the abused child back from her secret nightmare, because beneath the rage, Torey saw in Sheila the spark of genius. And together they embarked on a wondrous journey--a journey gleaming with a child's joy at discovering a world filled with love and a journey sustained by a young teacher's inspiring bravery and devotion.
But then what about situations were there is no history of child abuse? Perhaps the demons that have possessed parents or grandparents have easier access to the offspring of such people? For sure it would be an interesting research topic. What have you found over the years? Best, Leo
My reply to Leo’s question: “What have you found over the years?”
The demons that infest schizophrenics hate children and will get their parents or anyone else near those children to treat them badly. When working in the ER I became very concerned for the children of some of the schizophrenics. This hatred of children by the voices is endemic, very common. I believe the voices control the parents to abuse these kids. When they start feeling bad about themselves it makes it much easier for the voices to move into them. I remember one brilliant computer programmer who had a schizophrenic mother and a good job. He was living with the mother trying to take care of her. He moved out when he began to hear the voices and once he was out of there away from the mother the voices left. I don't think there is a genetic predisposition, it's all in the way schizophrenics treat their children which fosters and brings on the negative emotional state in those kids that the voices thrive on.
